The history of the 1957 Jaguar XKSS is plagued with great losses. 16 cars were originally built but 9 were lost in a fire before ever reaching their owners.

#6 1928 Mercedes-Benz S-Type 26/180 Sports Tourer

The 1928 Mercedes-Benz S-Type 26/180 Sports Tourer was built for everyday use and for the track. There were 174 of these cars built but only 7 remain today.

6 models of the Bugatti Type 41 Royale Kellner Coupe were built but only 3 were sold. The engine of this car made it even more sought after and only one ever changed hands. It is one of the most expensive cars on this list.

Only 4 Packard Panthers were ever built and only 2 are in existence making this car very rare indeed. In its heyday one of these cars made 130 mph in Florida and was dubbed the Daytona Panther.

It isn’t clear how many of the 1956 Aston Martin DBR1 cars still exist today, but only 5 were built. The car was a sensation as it beat out popular rivals Ferrari in Le Mans. That victory has made this car very famous.
